College representatives visit our school to meet with interested students to discuss academic programs, campus life, financial aid, and admission procedures.  College rep visit registration is done through SchooLinks (after signing up, students will receive a pass to be excused from class to attend).  Check "Events" in SchooLinks or the Counseling Calendar to see the most up-to-date schedule of colleges who have scheduled a visit.

HBCU Summit

STEAM Academy at McCluer South Berkeley High School
The St. Louis HBCU Alumni Association presents the 9th annual scholarship summit.  The purpose of the scholarship summit is to educate and equip St. Louis metropolitan high school students and their families with the knowledge and resources to obtain scholarships to attend an HBCU. The summit will consist of educational workshops for both students and parents, a lunchtime rally with prizes, an HBCU Experience panel, and a community fair with vendors, HBCU representatives, and alumni.  Register here.

Military Academy Day

If you are interested in receiving a stellar education, obtaining a degree, and serving your country all at once, this event is for you. Connect with representatives from all five United States Service Academies: Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine, West Point, and Naval Academies.  ROTC representatives will also be present.  Registration information is on flyer (here).

Parkway Financial Aid Night

The presentation will offer a brief overview of the scholarship and aid process, as well as specific information about filing the FAFSA. Families will walk away from this presentation prepared to file the FAFSA when it opens on October 1 and continue in the aid process.

Midwest Future Teacher Summit
Monday, October 5, 9:30-11:30 am
Lindenwood University
This event allows aspiring teachers from across the region to visit one university while connecting with representatives from multiple area educator preparation programs.  Dr. Courtney Yeager, Parkway's Director of Spark! Teaching and Learning & Grow Your Own Programs, will be coordinating this field trip for interested Parkway students.  Let Mrs. Prange know if you would like to be included.

The annual national fair, hosted by the National Association of College Admission Counselors, is a great opportunity to collect materials from multiple colleges and universities in a short period of time while giving students a chance to meet and talk with college admissions representatives in person.  Students will need to register for the college fair before arrival (here). A list of colleges registered to attend is also on that site.  Although college fairs are generally focused on juniors, seniors, and their parents, anyone is welcome to attend.

Confused about your future? Thinking about college? Wanting to learn about other options besides college?  This district-wide event is open to all Parkway families. Sophomores, Juniors, and their parents are strongly encouraged to attend as they begin planning for life after high school.   You’ll have the opportunity to learn about financial aid, scholarships, college athletics, highly selective schools, community college, trades and apprenticeships, military careers, and more! 

MOACAC Spring Regional College Fair
