The mission of DECA is to enhance the co-curricular education of students with an interest in marketing, management, and entrepreneurship. This organization helps students develop skills and competence for marketing careers, build self-esteem, experience leadership and practice community service.

DECA is committed to the advocacy of marketing education and the growth of business and education partnerships. DECA, a national association of marketing education students, provides members with educational and leadership development activities to merge with the educational classroom instructional program. 

DECA utilizes on-the-job experience, chapter projects, and a program of competitive events in specific marketing occupational areas. These events emphasize academic excellence as building blocks for successful marketing and management careers, demonstrating the direct relationship between marketing education and the real needs of the business industry. Each year, more than 110,000 students participate in the competitions on the local, state, and international levels.

The Parkway Central Marketing Program and DECA organization involve nearly 200 students enrolled in Marketing I, Marketing II, or Branding and Design. Our members acquire knowledge and skills that enable them to compete against other schools in local, state, and international-level DECA competitions. We help organize the carnival for Day of Service and compete at district and state competitions. Students also have the opportunity to travel to New York City to learn about the city and its businesses.

Model United Nations (MUN) simulates the United Nations (UN) and teaches students about diplomacy, international relations, and current world issues. Students act as delegates to the UN, working on UN committees to debate and negotiate solutions to world problems.

PCH Players is the fun and informational side to PCH Theatre - a student-run organization that focuses on activities, community service, supporting local theatre, and more. 

The purpose of PCH Players is to enrich the school environment as well as the community through theatre. We meet monthly to discuss upcoming events and explore ways for ALL students to get involved. If a student is unable to take theatre classes or commit to a mainstage show after school, they can stay involved in the department through the PCH Players.  An active PCH Player not only attends most monthly meetings, but can partake in department activities, such as....  monthly fundraisers, dinner and a show, community service projects, Theatre for Life, middle school outreach, department trips over spring break/summer vacation, and, of course, any sort of involvement with the mainstage shows and one acts in the PCH Theatre Dept.

PCH Players meets monthly to discuss upcoming events and ways ALL students can be involved. PCH Players produces two shows a year that students can audition or work behind the scenes on. Students should attend upcoming meetings to be involved. This is a great way to get involved if you cannot add Theatre to your schedule or cannot participate in the plays after school. 

To be considered "active" members will need to complete their 5*3*3*1

• Pay $5.00 PCH Player Dues
• Attend 3 PCH Player meetings
• Go to 3 PCH Player events
• Work on 1 Theatre Dept. mainstage show

WHAT IS SPEECH & DEBATE?

“Similar to athletic sports, speech and debate activities are challenging, competitive in nature, and require regular practice, dedication, and hard work. Each event in S&D features a different form of public speaking and requires a unique skillset and talent. While students often develop a passion for specific events, many compete in multiple categories throughout the course of their academic careers.”

Speech involves a presentation by one, two, or sometimes a group of students, which is judged against a similar type of presentation by others in a round of competition. Speech events range from limited preparation events that require extensive knowledge of current events to dramatic and humorous interpretation, which challenge students to find powerful moments in literature and recreate them for an audience.

Debate involves an individual or a team of debaters working to effectively convince a judge that their side of a resolution is, as a general principle, more valid. Students in debate come to thoroughly understand both sides of the resolution, having researched each extensively, and learn to think critically about every argument that could be made on each side.

Members compete with actors, debaters and speakers from other schools; however, the focus centers on performance skills and the thrill of participation. Competition is open to all eligible through MSHSAA guidelines and membership in the national honorary is earned through tournament participation.

Senior Pictures
All seniors must be photographed by Wagner to be in the yearbook. Seniors should attend one of the two summer sessions offered by Wagner.

If your senior did not attend summer session, you can make an appointment to go to Wagner by calling 314-567-5900 or visiting wagnerportraitgroup.com/seniors-portraits. The other option is to attend Wagner's last chance photo shoot on Nov. 21, 2025 at Parkway Central. It will be during Ac Lab on a first come, first served basis, likely in the Gym A lobby.  

School pictures for grades 9-11

Picture Day for 9-11 graders and staff is Monday, Aug. 25, 2025. Students will come with their English classes. Picture packages can be ordered at wagner.portraitpics.co/login

Retake/Absentee Picture Day is Friday, Oct. 24, 2025 during Ac Lab in the Social Studies Commons. This is for 9-11th graders and staff only. It's first come, first served. Students planning to do retakes should choose their home Ac Lab for the whole ac lab. Students who purchased a picture package and getting a retake should bring the package to the photographer for an even exchange. When they are finished with their pictures, they should return to their Ac Lab.
